Description
The Darulk burst from Hell and took what they wanted by force, only stopped from ruling the planet by the First Emperor's unity of all other races. Feared and revered in the Arena, the old adage rings true: “The only way to beat a Darulk… is to be a Darulk.”[1]
Darulk stand at a height of 2m (approximately 6 ft 7 inches).[2] They have leathery wings, two mouths, tentacles and they smell like brimstone.[3]

- In the short story, “A Karkadon’s Tale”, Omar feared the Darulk above all other competitors, and was eventually paired up against a Prime Eternal Darulk. “It was a Darulk. A Prime Eternal. An immortal demon from the underworld. The dark energy of Death Essence rose from his chest in smoky tendrils.”[5]
- In the short story, “Deal with a Darulk”, Darulk Dice is introduced to the lore, with Darulks being a bad roll in the game. “I roll. The dice come up: a two, a four… and a Darulk, grinning at me. Typical. I’m always rolling Darulks when I need a pineapple.”[6] Darulk dice is also mentioned in the short story “Heavy is the Head”[7] and again in the short story “The Inquisitor”. [8]

A gladiatorial re-enactment of this ancient event provides motivation for the rise of the Fenrir hero Fidelis.
